Thanks for the watch! Most of what I do on here (or planned to do when I made the account) is the occasional short story and notes for my original fiction, but I hope to continue playing with my camera and posting more of the learning process of that, as well.
I don't see glitch art very often--yours looks great! Do you use any specific programs to make the glitchy effects or is it mostly random actual glitches like when I can't keep my camera still? Not that it matters that much--deliberate or not, the art looks great either way.
Manual file corruption... you mean databending like in this article? www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2… Or the Audacity trick for people who are looking to create glitch sounds (which unfortunately will not work for me )?
"I love your pictures btw" Thanks! Still learning my way around the camera's settings, but it's always good to know that I'm good enough at photography to be worth the effort of doing better.
I use that kind of databending to achieve some effects but i almost always put it back through gimp (photoshop) in order to adjust contrast and fix loud pixels, or just to screw with the colors. i have other techniques that would take a long time to divulge; plus, im not entirely sure what im doing
It take some practice but you can find similar images and somewhat predict what youre gonna get, however, it is very often just "white noise."
Thank you for all the faves. I checked out your facebook page and even tried some databending myself, I couldn't get it to work for me but found it very interesting. Have a great day.
